A New Path Is Making a Bachelor’s Degree More Reachable for More New Hampshire Students

Many students think community college and a four-year degree are two separate decisions. In New Hampshire, they don’t have to be. Through the New England Transfer Guarantee, a regional initiative now active in New Hampshire via the Community College System and a growing list of participating four-year schools, a student who earns an associate’s degree with a qualifying GPA has guaranteed admission to a 4-year college.

The first NH transfers began in the 2024–25 academic year. The goal is to make sure that students, families, and the educators supporting them know how to take advantage of this important pathway.

Awareness First, Then a Real Plan
