Level All’s DC Individualized Graduation Plan Tool
As part of DC’s future-forward initiatives, every DC student is required to have an Individualized Graduation Plan. Starting in 9th grade, it’s updated annually, signed and verified by a counselor, and determines whether a student completes graduation requirements on a 3-, 4-, or 5-year timeline. It’s how counselors track that their students are academically on track.
What the IGP Covers, and What It Doesn’t
The IGP is focused on course pacing, making sure a student’s schedule adds up to graduation on the timeline that fits them best. What it doesn’t include is any structured career exploration, self-assessment, or interest-alignment component. A plan can be fully compliant and still tell you nothing about what a student actually wants to do after graduation.
How Level All Fits
Level All doesn’t replace the IGP or claim to satisfy it. That stays a counselor’s responsibility. Instead, it builds the layer the IGP doesn’t cover.
