Level All’s New Mexico NSP Tool: Simple, Comprehensive, and Free.

New Mexico’s Next Step Plan requirement is one of the most important things a district can get right, but with everything counselors have to keep track of, also one of the easiest to let slip through the cracks. Level All was built with New Mexico educators and the state’s own College and Career Readiness Bureau to make sure that doesn’t happen.
What the NSP Actually Requires
Every New Mexico student needs a Next Step Plan, completed every year from 8th grade through senior year.
- Career exploration. Students explore career options as part of building their plan.
- Goal setting. Students set academic, career, and personal goals.
- Pathway alignment. Each plan must align to the student’s own school district or charter school’s Graduate Profile.
- Three signatures, every year. Every plan must be signed by the student, a parent or guardian, and a school counselor or official, five separate times across a student’s high school years.
How Level All Makes It Manageable
Level All’s Career & Academic Plan (CAP) tool walks students through every piece of the Next Step Plan process, turning it into an interactive, portfolio-building experience instead of a paper trail.
- Guided student experience. Students log in and move through structured career and academic planning content built specifically for New Mexico, working at their own pace.
- A lasting portfolio. Every step a student completes feeds directly into their NSP, creating a record of goals, reflections, academic plans, and work-based learning that carries forward through graduation.
- Signatures, solved. Direct links make it easy to collect digital signatures from students, parents, and guardians, including guardians who don’t respond right away, with a path for physical signatures when that’s what a family needs.
- Real-time counselor dashboard. Counselors see exactly where each student stands, who’s on track, who needs follow-up, and where the gaps are across the whole school. It’s also easy to generate a report for a student or a class.
- Ready-made lesson plans. Teachers can bring NSP work into the classroom without building curriculum from scratch.
