The Hathaway Scholarship just got bigger. For a Wyoming student who plans ahead, that could mean thousands of dollars toward the University of Wyoming or any Wyoming community college.
What Hathaway Pays Now
Every level also requires completing the Hathaway Success Curriculum. Honors, Performance, and Opportunity awards can cover up to eight full-time semesters. Provisional Opportunity starts at a community college for up to four semesters, and students who earn an associate’s degree can extend it at UW.
How Pay Less for College Helps
- Know the target early. Students see exactly which GPA, test score, and courses each Hathaway level requires, years before it counts.
- Plan the Success Curriculum. Students map the required courses, including the sequenced fine arts, world language, or CTE years, into their four-year plan.
- Stack the aid. Students learn how Hathaway combines with the need-based Hathaway grant, federal aid, and other scholarships.
- Compare real costs. Students weigh UW and Wyoming’s community colleges side by side, with Hathaway factored in.
