Alaska leaves career planning largely up to its districts. That gives schools room to fit planning to the unique needs of their communities—but it also means students in one district can get a very different start than students in the next. Level All gives every Alaska school a complete, free planning tool to build off of, so no student has to figure it out alone.
Where Alaska Has Pointed the Way
- A long-standing goal. Alaska’s statewide CTE Plan has long called for every student to have a personal learning and career plan beginning in grade 6.
- Students follow the model through their school years. Alaska CTE educators developed recommended plan elements, including interest and skills inventories, career research, career clusters and pathways, and personal goals.
- A scholarship that rewards planning. The Alaska Performance Scholarship now pays up to $7,000 a year to students who complete a rigorous high school curriculum and meet a GPA or test score target. Students can learn whether they qualify as early as junior year.
How Level All Makes It Manageable
- A guided student experience. Students build their plan step by step, exploring interests, careers, and pathways instead of filling in a blank form.
- A plan that lasts. Every career explored, goal set, and course planned stays with the student from year to year.
- A real-time counselor dashboard. Counselors see which students have started, which are on track, and which need a conversation, without chasing paperwork.
- Ready-made lesson plans. Teachers and advisors get classroom-ready lessons that support career planning, even in schools without a full-time counselor.
