For students with UNC–Chapel Hill or another highly selective option in their sights, wanting it isn’t the same as being ready for it.

- A four-year plan, not a senior-year scramble. Aiming for a specific college becomes a multi-year plan, not something that students figure out in the fall of 12th grade.
Pay Less at Any of the 16
Getting in is only half the equation. What a family actually pays is the other half, and it varies enormously across the system.
- Pairs with the Pay Less for College Journey. Once a student has a UNC System school on their list, the Journey walks families through calculating real net price, maximizing aid, and appealing offers, rather than reacting to a sticker price that may not reflect what they’ll actually pay.
- Every dollar of aid, tracked. The Journey makes sure families know to claim the Next NC Scholarship, check for fixed-tuition eligibility, and see whether an NC Promise school might make more financial sense than a pricier option on their list.
